Meet the Administrator
Governor Sonny Perdue appointed Joseph B. Doyle Administrator of the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act, the principal statute OCA enforces, effective January 20, 2004. As Administrator, he is vested with the authority to monitor, investigate and fine businesses for unfair and deceptive consumer transactions. In addition to these duties, Governor Perdue has placed him in charge of a new customer service initiative based on the recommendations of the Commission for a New Georgia.
Administrator Doyle is the former owner of a retail chain, After Hours Formal Wear, and previously held positions with Arthur Andersen & Company and the Augusta National Golf Club. He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. An active member of the community, he is involved with the Boxwood Society of America, the Atlanta Historical Society and Turnaround Management Association. He and his wife Carol have three children.
