The crash occurred at 6:40 p.m. Friday on West Point Road in Troup County and involved two passenger cars.
Both drivers died in the crash. They are identified as Willie L. Hooks, age 28, from LaGrange and Melanie Kay Lemmon, age 23, also from LaGrange.
Willie Hooks was driving a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass and was passing a vehicle in a no passing zone when his vehicle collided with the 1995 Pontiac Grand Am being driven by Ms. Lemmon. Three of the passengers in the Pontiac died in the crash and two others were critically injured.
Alcohol is suspected as a possible contributing factor.

Jayvianna C. Hurston, 15 - passenger in the Pontiac and flown to Atlanta Medical;
Shaquavious S. Harrison, 18 - passenger in the Pontiac and flown to Columbus Medical
