 E AN APPEARANCE BY APPLICANT. Applicants for Motor Carrier Interim Certifi
 cates must appear in person at the hearing if application is protested and
  present testimony. APPLICANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY THE DPS STAFF IF THEY N
 EED TO APPEAR.\n\n\n\nIMPORTANT: Any carrier or carrier's representative d
 esiring to appear at a public hearing in opposition to an application seek
 ing motor carrier authority\, or amendment to existing authority\, must no
 tify the applicant and the DPS of his intentions to appear at the hearing 
 to protest the application. Such notification shall be made by letter or f
 ax dispatched so as to reach the applicant and the DPS at least fifteen (1
 5) days prior to the assigned hearing date.\n\n\n\nIMPORTANT: Where a prot
 est to an Application is received by the Department\, the HEARING DATE pub
