Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  Under broad supervision, manages state-level departmental budget services for multiple programs and/or attached agencies within the Department of Public Safety. Directly and/or indirectly supervises professional budget staff in budget development and expenditure control activities, and other related functions for the department. Assists departmental management in the development of departmental goals and objectives. Through subordinate staff and program budget personnel, assumes responsibility for assigned program submissions of the departmental budget to the Office of Planning and Budget (OPB) and preparation of the annual operating budget (AOB). Monitors expenditures through regular reports. May serve as departmental budget liaison with OPB, legislative body, the public, and other departments on assigned programs. Coordinates and completes special projects on behalf of the Comptroller.

Minimum Qualifications:  Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in public administration, business administration, accounting, finance or a related field; AND Four (4) years experience in general management, accounting, or budgeting; OR Eight (8) years experience in general management, accounting, or budgeting.

Preferred Qualifications:   Previous experience in the Budget Process with a state entity within the State of Georgia.

Salary: $52,172 - $68, 087, depending on qualifications and experience
