NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 


PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the first floor Training Room at the Department of Public Safety ("DPS" or "Department") Headquarters located at 959 United Ave SE, Atlanta, Georgia, a hearing will be held for members of the public and household goods carriers to comment upon three proposed increases to the Department of Public Safety's current Maximum Rate Tariff for Carriers of Household Goods in Intrastate Transportation ("Tariff"): (1) a 10% increase to Weight and Distance Rates; (2} a 10% increase to all secondary (ancillary} service charges (including bulky items, extra stops. waiting time, overtime labor, packing/unpacking, etc.); and (3) a 23% increase to Storage in Transit Rates. 


The expected effective date of the revised Tariff is August 14, 2025. A copy of the proposed revised Tariff (Maximum Rate Tariff No. 6) is attached to this Notice. 


All interested persons are hereby advised of the opportunity to submit data, views, or arguments, orally or in writing, regarding the proposed revised Tariff. Oral comments will be limited to ten minutes per person. Anyone needing more than ten (10) minutes should request additional time by contacting Lt.
