What is the fee for a Flashing or Revolving Light Permit(s)?
- A flat fee of $2 is charged for each permit.
- No fee is required for Volunteer Firemen, City, County, State, or Federal owned vehicles.

How long does it take the application to process?
There is currently a two week processing window. If applicant(s) have not received their permit(s) three weeks from the submittal date, please contact us at 404-624-7211. If we are not contacted we will assume that you have received your permit(s).

Where is the Flashing or Revolving Light Permit(s) processed?
Applications are processed by MAIL ONLY in the Light Permit Section of Dept. of Public Safety.

Who should obtain a Flashing or Revolving Light Permit(s)?
ALL individuals and/or businesses that have a flashing or revolving light on their vehicle(s).

How long is my permit valid?
Permits expire 12 months from the month stamped on the permit.

How do I replace my Flashing or Revolving Light Permit(s)?
To replace your permit, you must resubmit another application.

What vehicles are exempt from the Flashing or Revolving Light Permit(s)?
Vehicles that are Government owned AND marked Fire Department or Law Enforcement.

What types of Flashing Light permits not issued by DPS?
White or Clear Flashing or Revolving Lights.

Where do I place the permit?
The permit should be placed on the front windshield, passenger side, and bottom corner.
