A. The standard working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We also offer alternative flexible work schedules if they can support business needs.

A. Pay is determined by the Grade level of the job. Pay within Grade levels is determined by the State of Georgia.
Q. How often are pay raises given?
A. As with all state employees, pay raises are granted by the Georgia General Assembly and are not guaranteed at any interval.
Q. What are the opportunities for advancement?
A. Opportunities vary by department. Employees, who meet qualifications, may apply for job postings inside or outside of their department.
Q. Will I be required to work shifts? Weekends? Holidays?
A. Normally, Administrative positions are staffed Monday through Friday. Unusual circumstances or emergencies may require an employee to work different shifts, weekends and/or holidays.

A. Yes, we conduct Background investigations on all Administrative employees. Q. Will I be polygraphed? A. Yes.
Q. Why does it take so long to get an interview?
A. The interview is typically the final step in the process. Interviews are only held when a position is actually available. This time period will vary. You will be contacted by Human Resources if chosen to interview for a position.
Q. Is there a training process?
A. Yes. Usually you will have a department orientation and on-the-job-training by a qualified person.

A. Core skills will vary by position.
Q. How can I check the status of my application?
A. We cannot contact each candidate that applies, but will contact those who will be interviewed.

A. Often this can take several weeks. The hiring manager reviews all qualified applications and selects those who will be chosen for an interview.
