CVE Training Programs

The Commercial Vehicle Enforcement division provides training courses for commercial drivers, pilot car escorts, and passenger and limousine carrier operators. For more information or to register for a course, please click on the links below.

  • CMV Training

    The CMV Training course equips commercial drivers with the skills required to meet federal/state safety and compliance regulations reducing accident risks. In addition to core training, drivers may take specialized commodity courses in forestry, hazardous materials, and farm and agricultural vehicle operations.

  • Pilot Car Certification

    The Pilot Car Certification course provides the required training to escort over-dimensional loads in the State of Georgia. Georgia residents must complete this course and pass the final quiz with a score of 80% or higher to receive certification. The program is also open to those from other state but is not required for those in states that have reciprocity agreements with Georgia.

  • Passenger Carrier Training

    The Passenger Carrier Training course is the final step in the registration process for applicants seeking to become passenger and limousine carrier operations. Offered through the Regulatory Compliance Program, the course must be completed before taking the required quiz.
