The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) oversees the day-to-day operation of the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), Capitol Police and the Motor Carrier Compliance Division (MCCD). We currently have an opening for a MCCD Compliance Specialist 1 in the Taxi/Ride Share Program (Regulatory Compliance Unit) of the Motor Carrier Compliance Division.

Under general supervision, the MCCD Regulatory Compliance Specialist assumes the ongoing responsibility for personally administering the Taxi/Ride Share Program for the State of Georgia. This registration program encompasses taxi companies, taxi vehicles, limousine companies, limousine vehicles, and Ride Share entities such as Wingz, Lyft, Uber, etc. The Regulatory Compliance Specialist acts independently, within general program objectives, to provide registration assistance and regulatory oversight.

  • Apply complex program laws, rules and regulations

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND one year of related experience OR High school diploma or GED AND two years of related experience. Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license. 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proficient Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Skills.
  • Previous experience in program analytics and audits.
