GA DPS Coordinates a Successful Second Wave of Multi-Agency Crime Suppression and Street Racing Enforcement in Metro-Area
(ATLANTA, GA) – At the direction of Governor Brian Kemp, the Georgia State Patrol coordinated its second wave of a multi-agency crime suppression and street racing enforcement detail over the weekend of April 23-25. This joint effort by several metro Atlanta law enforcement agencies took place to combat violent crimes in specific areas and to address the growing issue of street racing that has plagued the city of Atlanta. This enforcement detail was a collaborative effort between the Georgia State Patrol, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Department of Natural Resources, Atlanta Police Department, Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Governor Kemp is committed to leveraging state resources to suppress crime in Atlanta.
