The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) oversees the day-to-day operation of the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), Capitol Police Division (CPD), and the Motor Carrier Compliance Division (MCCD). We currently have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Business Support Analyst 1 in the Facilities Division.
Critical Responsibilities:
- Under supervision, performs complex administrative duties and statistical, financial, or operational data analysis and reporting in support of management decision making in functional area. Identifies trends, discrepancies, and variances to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. May partner with other departments, divisions, outside agencies, and vendors to address facility issues. Exercises various latitudes of independent judgment. May administer or provide high level support for various projects, grants, contracts, implementation of procedures, and/or any specialized functions.
- Purchase supplies, equipment, or services necessary for the operation of an agency, division, or office. Creates requisitions for equipment, repairs for the facilities division. Obtains appropriate documentation to support the purchase order. Checks to make sure the correct accounting code based on the item purchased and the location.

A typical workday includes, but is not limited to:
§ Responds to routine requests for repairs/maintenance to all DPS facilities statewide.
§ Schedule routine maintenance of Emergency Generators Statewide
§ Ensure all paperwork is processed and sent to Accounting for payment processing
§ Monitors and maintains a variety of manual and electronic records/reports
§ Initiate and update work orders for all Facilities requests.
§ Order maintenance shop/State Complex supplies as needed.
§ Check onsite LP fuel level monthly and reorder fuel as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of experience related to area of assignment. Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.
